COP Nights. 2,2,3 Schedule. This is a bi-weekly schedule of three 12 hour shifts one week and 48 hour shifts the following week. Every other weekend off. Only work 6 months of the year!
Primary Purpose of the Role:
Assists the operator with basic production functions
Essential Functions:
Assist press operator in all areas of daily press operations.
Acquire basic knowledge of how to make adjustments to machine speeds, sheeter adjustments, pressures, installing the printing plate, inking the press, loading the paper, setting paper guides, idle time usage, start up and shutdown procedures.
Perform quality checks throughout every run as a team to eliminate waste and rework.
Ensure all job components are stocked and ready for shift and startup of following shifts production.
Fix problems in a fast manner to avoid excessive downtime when press stops due to paper jams or tears.
Responsible for identifying potential problems, quickly rectifying any issues
Learn proper daily/weekly/ monthly maintenance and cleaning of press & surrounding areas.
Assists all GMSP team members as necessary
Assists operator in recording documentation as necessary for printing press output
Performs housekeeping duties.
Responsible for personal safety.
Responsible for learning job skills required to perform next position in line of progression
Responsible for accurate and complete exchange of information with in coming crew
Responsible to report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action
Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications:
Factory experience preferred but not a requirement
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Ability to do basic math skills
Possesses basic communication skills
Ability to read & comprehend instructions, memos, specifications, safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
