Job Title: Laboratory AssistantLocation: Bentonville, AR 72712Pay Rate: $17.00 – $19.00/hrShift: Second Shift Monday - Friday 2:00 PM - 10:30 PMJob SummaryUL Solutions is seeking a Laboratory Assistant (Technician) to support critical testing and analysis operations. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to sample management, testing, and reporting. Your work ensures the safety and integrity of samples while contributing to the accurate and timely communication of test results.Key ResponsibilitiesSample & Data ManagementSample Logistics: Receive, label, and safely store samples according to handling and storage procedures.Storage Compliance: Organize and store samples in compliance with safety guidelines to ensure personnel safety and sample integrity.Reporting: Record test results and analyses in a clear, organized manner and communicate reports to the appropriate stakeholders.Result Communication: Discuss test results and provide clear explanations to internal teams or clients as required.Testing & Laboratory MaintenanceAnalysis: Determine necessary tests for sample analysis and perform them accurately according to established protocols.Apparel Reporting: Specialized responsibility for second-shift apparel report writing.Equipment Care: Clean and maintain laboratory equipment; recalibrate instruments as required to ensure proper functionality.Record Keeping: Maintain up-to-date work logs and accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance.Qualifications & RequirementsExperience & Education:Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Laboratory Technology) or equivalent practical experience.Background: Previous experience in a laboratory technician role or related field is preferred.Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with laboratory testing methods, equipment operation, and safety protocols.Core Competencies:Attention to Detail: Strong ability to follow standardized procedures and record results with high accuracy.Communication: Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and explaining technical results.Organization: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain an organized workspace.Professional Development: Willingness to stay current with scientific advances in laboratory methodologies and best practices.Working Conditions:Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a laboratory environment.Capacity to handle and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment proficiently.Benefits:Health insuranceHealth savings accountDental insuranceVision insuranceFlexible spending accountsLife insuranceRetirement planAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
