Duties Safely operate various vehicles including box trucks and drivers to deliver goods across designated routes. Load and unload cargo using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling and safety. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet schedule commitments while optimizing fuel use and minimizing delays. Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries, addressing inquiries, and ensuring satisfaction. Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs in compliance with company policies. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met; report any maintenance issues promptly. Assist with warehouse tasks when not on route, including moving inventory or organizing storage areas as needed. Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, especially with box trucks or similar commercial vehicles. Strong knowledge of route driving, traffic laws, and safety procedures. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling of cargo safely. Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus; certification preferred but not required. Familiarity with warehouse environments and logistics operations. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission is advantageous.
