DevOps Engineer

Job DescriptionBubbleUp is looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer who will bring their experience, best practices, and a collaborative attitude to help us deliver websites and apps efficiently. To be successful, one must have deep knowledge of web development and CI/CD processes, hosting infrastructure components and communicate with the development and operations team to deliver solutions that solve client’s business problems in the most efficient manner.ResponsibilitiesImplement DevOps infrastructure projectsDesign and implement secure automation solutions for development, testing, and production environmentsManage our continuous integration and delivery pipelineCollaborate with development and management teams to suggest efficient solutionsImplement industry best practices for system hardening and configuration managementSecure, scale, and manage virtual environmentsDevelop and maintain solutions for operational administration, system/data backup, disaster recovery, and security/performance monitoringContinuously evaluate existing systems with industry standards, make recommendations for improvement, share best practices with team on our monthly workshopsSkills & Experience6+ years in web developmentBachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required)Understanding of system administration in Linux environmentsUnderstanding of AWS cloud infrastructure conceptsProficiency in PHP, Bash and JavaScript scripting languagesExperience with modern PHP and JS frameworksExperience in MySQL queries and tables structure optimizationStrong communication and documentation skillsExcellent judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skillsFull understanding of software development lifecycle best practicesSelf-motivated individual that possesses excellent time management and organizational skills
