This very part-time role, typically requiring 4-8 hours per week, is suited for a seasoned financial expert, such as a retired or semi-retired executive, who can offer insights on financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to support the company's rapid scaling. The CFO Advisor will also be instrumental in guiding the team on capital-raising strategies, including venture funding rounds and investor relations, and will provide essential advice on IPO readiness, compliance, governance, and financial reporting best practices.The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a CFO or senior finance executive in a tech startup or high-growth company, with direct involvement in at least one successful IPO. Expertise in financial strategy, fundraising, and scaling operations in a fast-paced environment is essential, as is a deep understanding of GAAP/IFRS, financial modeling, and relevant financial tools. The role involves mentoring internal finance team members, participating in board or executive meetings, and requires excellent communication skills to convey complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders. A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required, with an MBA or CPA being preferred.
