Compounder I
Position Summary:
The Compounders main responsibilities are to accurately follow written and oral procedures that have been pre-approved by Quality Control or directed by the Director of Manufacturing or Plant Manager. The assignments given to Compounders are task oriented and are driven by customer demand. The compounder performs manual tasks throughout the production process.
Position Responsibilities:
The Compounder is a mid-level position in the production area. Compounders must have a moderate understanding of the job responsibilities listed below.
The Compounder reports directly to the area supervisor and plant manager.
The. Compounder responsibilities are to compound, bulk, filter, etc. with diligence and accuracy according to written formulations.
Tasks may include: mix, blend, weigh, measure and pour.
The Compounder is responsible for, but not limited to, ensuring that formulations are followed and that all procedures are adhered to.
Complete all documentation (JustFoods/BatchMetrics) to the required level of quality, accuracy, within the expected duration, and ensure all information is recorded on the correct documentation.
The Compounder receives and reviews daily work orders from supervisor and team lead and advises appropriate personnel of any and all issues concerning written instruction (i.e. order ship date).
According to procedure, the Compounder properly prepares/informs or otherwise communicates in written form any and all delays that affect the shipment of an order or task that may be delayed.
In a fashion consistent with all written procedures, the Compounder prepares orders for shipment following all directions imprinted on the order. For example, labeling and filtering procedures. Notify the proper authority if this cannot be accomplished.
The Compounder protects and preserves all formulations, procedures and assignments. It is the responsibility of the Compounder to protect formulations when they are in the custody of the Compounder. This includes, but is not limited to, formulas and order information. When a specific task is completed, the Compounder must return said information back to the Plant Manager.

Job Requirements:
EDUCATION
High School or Equivalent or the ability to obtain same within specified time.
EXPERIENCE
Over two years of production experience required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to crouch and bend
Ability to handle 55 gallon drums after training
Ability to lift 100# with assistance
Ability to lift 50# continuously
Ability to stand continuously
Ability to manipulate and tilt over 500# containers with assistance
Bend, stoop, climb, reach above shoulders, crouch, push and pullfrequently
Use feet, hands, wrists, arms, shoulders constantly.
