Orthopedics Physician

ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon to provide backfill coverage for surgical services and 24-hour hospital call. This role includes managing orthopedic trauma and elective cases across all age groups, with a strong emphasis on hip fracture care, including hip nailing. There is potential for ongoing coverage beyond the initial dates. Dates / Schedule Open Coverage: April 3 (7:00 AM) April 13 (7:00 AM), with additional dates and possible ongoing needsShift Schedule: 24-hour call (7:00 AM 7:00 AM)Call Expectations: Emergency call with callback; 2 4 hours of gratis time preferred for the 24-hour rate Job Details & Responsibilities Provide orthopedic surgical coverage and hospital callManage orthopedic trauma, including hip fractures requiring hip nailingPerform a full spectrum of orthopedic procedures for adult, pediatric, and geriatric patientsSurgical cases include:Treatment of fractures, dislocations, amputations, deformities, and bone/joint tumorsTotal joint replacement, revision, or repair (hip, knee, shoulder)Spinal surgery (with and without instrumentation: cervical, thoracic, lumbar)ArthroscopyParticipate in emergency department and inpatient consultsDocument care using EPIC EMR Required Skills & Qualifications Board Certified Orthopedic SurgeonActive Kentucky medical license (IMLC acceptable)Active DEA registrationBLS certificationProven ability to perform hip nailing procedures (required)Experience with general surgical and non-surgical orthopedic proceduresRequired procedural expertise:Hip and knee replacementHip and knee repair or revisionArthroscopyOrthopedic fellowship training (preferred)Clean background (required)COVID vaccination (preferred)NPDB Self-Query Report dated within 30 days of presentation (required)
