Sr. Accountant

DescriptionIf interested, connect with Casey Wiggin on LinkedIn ASAP!We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Littleton, New Hampshire. This position plays a key role in supporting plant operations by analyzing financial data and providing actionable insights to drive profitability and efficiency. The ideal candidate will excel in managing budgets, overseeing expense approvals, and collaborating across departments to ensure compliance and operational success.Responsibilities:- Develop and oversee annual budgets and monthly financial forecasts, ensuring accurate reporting to corporate stakeholders.- Analyze production variances and aging work orders, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to improve operational efficiency.- Review and approve plant expenses, while spearheading cost-saving initiatives to optimize expenditures.- Work closely with the legal team to manage site contracts and ensure compliance.- Collaborate with departments to create and present capital project proposals to stakeholders.- Lead the annual physical inventory process and conduct inventory variance analyses to support corporate adjustments.- Partner with the central accounting team to oversee fixed asset acquisitions, maintenance, and disposals.- Assist with internal and external audits by ensuring compliance with organizational requirements and internal controls.- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to support the Plant Manager and operations team.- Handle occasional accounts payable tasks as needed to support the overall accounting function.Requirements - A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting within a manufacturing environment.- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.- Proven ability to lead group projects and collaborate across teams.- Advanced proficiency in Excel for financial analysis and reporting.- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.- Strong communication skills, particularly in explaining technical accounting concepts to non-accounting professionals.- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.- Familiarity with general ledger, journal entries, account reconciliation, and bank reconciliations in a manufacturing setting.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
