Support Services Coordinator
Job Summary And ResponsibilitiesA Support Services Coordinator performs selected clerical, computer, staffing, supply and other related duties.Demonstrates ability to assess/interpret age-specific data.Encourages involvement of patient/family/significant other in decision making related to plan of care.Maintains all Policy and Procedure manuals as required by JCAHO and Title 22 regulations and updates as necessary.Demonstrates working knowledge of the policies of the assigned nursing department.Completes monthly environmental rounds in the assigned nursing department. 1. Prepares work orders and monitors the progress of the work weekly until the work is completed. Keeps the Nursing Director updated weekly. 2. Verifies that the preventative maintenance stickers are current. 3. Notifies the Nursing Director of any identified safety hazards and the progress of requested repairs weekly.Job RequirementsRequiredHigh School Graduate or GEDMinimum of 2 years healthca rexperiencePreferredExperience as a Unit Secretary is desirable but not essential.Where You'll WorkFounded in 1923, Dignity Health - St. Mary Medical Center is a 389-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located in Long Beach, California.
