SUMMARY OF POSITION
This IT Technical Support Analyst is responsible for diagnosing, researching, and resolving various technical issues to ensure smooth computer and system operations at the site. The role includes providing both onsite and remote desktop support for local and remote users, and handling escalated incidents, phone calls, emails, and chat requests.
JOB DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Performs analysis of network needs and contributes to design of network architecture, integration, and installation
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues
Installs and maintains local area network hardware and software, including servers, peripherals, network nodes, terminals and wiring
Evaluates local area network hardware and software requirements and capabilities and makes recommendations
Coordinates installation of hardware and software by others
Provides support to and trains users in local area network administration and usage
Monitors and maintains network stability
Communicates and coordinates network schedule, backups and downtime to users
Coordinates third-party maintenance for network hardware, software and telecommunications services
Prepares and maintains documentation of network configurations and cabling layouts
Performs backup duties with other IT professionals
Coordinates and administrates all network connections to and from local and wide area networks
Provides and evaluates the means for ordering computer and network supplies
Performs web-site design and administration
Administers and maintains e-mail
Monitor systems and respond as necessary to support a 24/7 operational facility.
Perform PC imaging and deployment (Windows 10 experience required)
Assist with setup, testing, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT equipment
Support installation of hardware and software and respond to routine user inquiries
Participate in various IT-related projects and operational tasks as needed
Manages and administers real-time monitoring systems
QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES):
Two (2) year degree in related computer sciences
Minimum three (3) years related experience preferably in a manufacturing setting
Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot local and wide area computer networks and associated assemblies.
Hands-on experience with Windows 10 PC imaging
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Experience supporting hardware, peripherals, and end-user devices
Ability to work independently in an onsite environment
Strong communication and customer service skills
