Your primary focus will be to follow the production process to ensure the efficient and high-quality production of all composites and related products. You must have experience working with fiberglass-reinforced epoxy and other composite materials.General ResponsibilitiesAssisting with composite projects from inception to completion, ensuring that deadlines, and quality standards are metPossessing in-depth knowledge of composite materials, manufacturing processes, and techniques. Utilizing technical guidance and expertise to the teamReview blueprints and instructions, gather materials, and fabricate each composite part, including trimming, assembling, and finishingIdentifying opportunities for process optimization and implementing measures to enhance efficiency and qualityEnsuring that all composites meet the required specifications, standards, and safety regulationsCollaborating with engineers and designers to select appropriate composite materials for specific applicationsStaying updated with the latest advancements in composite materials and technologies, and incorporating innovative approaches into projectsCoordinating with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and quality control, to ensure seamless product development and integrationEnsuring compliance with safety protocols and promoting a safe working environment for all team membersWork Location:In Office, Springfield, Missouri (444 W Tampa St, Springfield, MO 65806)Work Schedule(4) 10-hour shifts: Monday - Thursday 6:30am - 5:00pm with 30 minutes for lunch CompensationStarting @ $19/hour (depending on experience) + RewardsQualifications/RequirementsAddress and rectify quality issues and defects in the production process promptlyImplement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and production efficiencyManage inventory levels of raw materials, hardware, and other supplies required for productionCoordinate with purchasing departments to ensure a smooth supply chain and avoid production delaysOptimize resource allocation to maximize productivity and minimize wasteEducation/Experience/SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in woodworking or cabinet making is advantageousA strong background in composite materials, manufacturing processes, and project managementExcellent organizational and time-management abilitiesEffective communication skills to interact with employees, project leads, and customersAttention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality productsProblem-solving and decision-making capabilities to address production challenges effectivelyBasic CNC table operation knowledge/history is preferred.Physical RequirementsThe ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.This job entails prolonged periods of standing and walking around the manufacturing floor.Precision and coordination are crucial for assembling intricate components and operating machinery. Employees must be capable of using hand and power tools with a steady handAssembly tasks may require reaching, stretching, and bending to access components, equipment, and workstations as well as the ability to stoop, kneel, or crouch is necessary for accessing low-lying work areas and performing assembly tasks close to the groundEmployees must have good visual acuity to inspect and ensure the quality of components and products. This may involve reading technical documents and operating machinery with precisionThe role may require the ability to hear and respond to alarms, machinery sounds, and co-worker communication in a manufacturing environmentFor tasks involving computer work or documentation, employees may be required to sit for extended periodsExposure to Hazardous Materials: In some cases, employees may be exposed to chemicals or substances used in the manufacturing process.
