Hydrovac Truck Operator

Duties Safely operate hydrovac trucks equipped with high-pressure water systems and vacuum technology to excavate around utilities and infrastructure. Conduct routine inspections of the hydrovac equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Assist with the setup and breakdown of work zones, including traffic control and site preparation. Coordinate with construction teams to execute excavation tasks accurately, adhering to project plans and safety standards. Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE (personal protective equipment) and adherence to OSHA regulations. Maintain detailed logs of work performed, equipment usage, and safety inspections for project documentation. Requirements Proven experience operating heavy equipment including hydrovac trucks. Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with heavy equipment efficiently. Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving preferred. Familiarity with construction site safety procedures. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety awareness. Construction site experience with knowledge of underground utilities and infrastructure projects highly desirable.
