We're seeking someone who understands executive positioning, business media and the conference/event landscape. We want a trusted advisor who can shape corporate reputation strategies against the ever-changing technology landscape.If you're passionate about corporate communications and technology – and want to expand your horizons and do transformative work for game-changing brands – we want to hear from you.ResponsibilitiesDevelop corporate reputation and executive positioning strategies on behalf of some of our top technology clientsLearn Edelman's various Communications Marketing processes/approaches, including public engagement, message workshops, master narrative assignments, brand engagement, social media campaigns, and stakeholder mapping exercises. Support integrated teams in the execution of these processes for clients.Supervise account work performed by junior staffManage up, as well as across with peersManage projects for multiple clients from concept to completionAnticipate challenges, troubleshoot problems, propose solutions, offer client counsel, oversee quality, and ensure deadline and budget adherenceServe as daily client contact, addressing timely client issues thoughtfully and effectivelyContribute to the creation of communications marketing plans to meet client objectivesDrive media relations including creating and driving outreach plans, media strategy, and message developmentApply key client information to work, including general business strategy, industry trends and issues, products/services, key opinion leaders, customers, and competitorsDemonstrate practical understanding of visual communications, multimedia, social media and the digital landscape and how to incorporate these into client programsOrganically grow business by introducing clients to new capabilitiesDrive new business growth by identifying prospects and leading proposalsCollaborate with senior leadership in identifying and developing opportunities for account growthBasic QualificationsPossess at least 8 years of experience in corporate communicationsHold a bachelor's degree or have equivalent work experienceAre able to work a hybrid schedule, with 3 days a week in the office (New York, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Chicago, Austin, or Dallas)Preferred QualificationsHave worked in an agency settingExperience and passion for working with enterprise/B2B technology clientsHave relationships with business and national news media, and tech trade mediaExcellent storytelling skills, and ability to provide sound, level-appropriate media counsel with all levels of client contactsHave managed the budgets and team on sizable pieces of business to achieve client goalsHave written strategic media plans and a variety of media materials with limited oversightProven account management and team leadership skillsKeen interest and high awareness of current eventsSolutions-oriented mindset$95,000 to $155,000 a yearAn employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH's total compensation package for employees.
