Sr Engineer, Software (Node.js)

Position SummaryLocation: Lombard, IL Work Policy: Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day work from home per week)The ideal candidate will build scalable web applications, contribute to cloud-native deployments, and collaborate across product and engineering teams.Position ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain end-to-end web applications using ReactJS or AngularJS for front-end and Node.js or C#/.NET for back-end services.Develop, test, and maintain scalable front-end and back-end applications, including writing and executing unit tests to ensure code quality, reliability, and maintainability.Build reusable UI components and ensure responsive, high-performance user interfaces.Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services.Collaborate with product owners, architects, and QA to deliver high-quality features.Implement secure coding practices and ensure application reliability and performance.Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows.Support cloud deployments and infrastructure integration across AWS and Azure.Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies using tools such as GitHub, Confluence, Jira, Azure DevOps.Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes.Maintain technical documentation and contribute to development standards.Qualification RequirementsBachelor’s degree in a related field.5+ years of software development experience in full stack roles.Hands-on experience with ReactJS and/or AngularJS.Strong back-end development experience with Node.js and/or C# (.NET/.NET Core).Experience building APIs, microservices, and integrating databases (SQL/NoSQL).Working knowledge of DevOps concepts: CI/CD, source control, build/release pipelines.Practical exposure to cloud services in both AWS and Azure.Experience with project/task management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps (VSTS) and GitHub.Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM/Bicep, CloudFormation).Exposure monitoring/logging tools (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, ELK, etc.).Experience with authentication/authorization patterns (OAuth2, JWT, SSO).Domain exposure to fuel dispensers/payment/POS systems is a plus.Technical Skills SnapshotFront-end: ReactJS, AngularJS, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3Back-end: Node.js, C#, .NET/.NET Core, REST APIs, KafkaCloud: AWS, AzureDevOps: Git, CI/CD pipelines, build/release automation, Docker, KubernetesTools: Jira, Azure DevOps, Postman, VS Code/Visual Studio, GitHubDatabases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB (or equivalent), ClickHouse.
