Sr. Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) EngineerSalary Range: $100k to $150k OverviewA leading organization is seeking a Sr. Programmer Analyst to support and optimize enterprise digital analytics and data collection initiatives. This role will focus on implementing scalable tagging solutions, managing analytics infrastructure, ensuring data integrity, and supporting cross-functional digital experience initiatives.The ideal candidate will bring strong experience with enterprise tag management platforms, analytics ecosystems, and front-end technologies, along with expertise in governance, privacy compliance, and event-driven data architectures.Key ResponsibilitiesTag Management & Analytics ImplementationDevelop, implement, and maintain tagging solutions across digital platforms using enterprise tag management systems including: Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) Data Collection / Adobe LaunchGoogle Tag Manager (GTM)TealiumOther enterprise tagging platformsConfigure and manage tag properties, rules, and workflows across multiple domains and environmentsSupport publishing processes and library management within AEP Data CollectionDesign and execute scalable analytics tracking strategies and tagging standardsData Collection & Analytics ArchitectureImplement and maintain event-driven analytics frameworks including: EDDLAdobeDataLayerEnsure accurate, consistent, and efficient data collection across digital propertiesPartner with stakeholders to define tracking requirements and data layer specificationsSupport enterprise customer journey and digital analytics initiativesTesting, Debugging & Data QualityConduct validation, QA testing, and debugging of analytics implementationsTroubleshoot tagging and tracking issues to ensure data integrity and platform performanceMonitor analytics accuracy and tracking consistency across web environmentsCross-Functional CollaborationCollaborate with: Front-end engineering teamsUX/UI teamsProduct managers and product ownersBusiness analystsMarketing and analytics stakeholdersAlign analytics implementation strategies with business and customer experience objectivesProvide support and guidance for analytics best practices and governance standardsGovernance, Compliance & DocumentationEnforce tagging governance standards and implementation best practicesEnsure compliance with data privacy regulations including GDPR and CCPACreate and maintain implementation documentation and tracking specificationsSupport onboarding and training efforts related to analytics tools and processesRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience in digital analytics, tag management, or analytics implementationHands-on experience with: Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) Data Collection / Adobe LaunchGoogle Tag Manager (GTM)TealiumSimilar enterprise tag management platformsStrong experience with: Tag implementationTesting and debuggingAnalytics solution design and planningStrong JavaScript skills related to analytics and tag deploymentWorking knowledge of: HTMLCSSFront-end development conceptsExperience with data layer standards, governance, and formattingFamiliarity with Agile development methodologies and software development lifecycle processesStrong written and verbal communication skillsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related STEM fieldPreferred QualificationsAdobe Analytics EcosystemExperience with: Adobe AnalyticsAdobe Experience Platform (AEP)Customer Journey Analytics (CJA)Customer Data Platform (CDP)Adobe Web SDK implementationAdvanced Analytics & GovernanceUnderstanding of Adobe Analytics concepts including: eVarsPropsSuccess EventsSAINT classificationsRule-based classificationsExperience supporting analytics governance across enterprise digital ecosystemsTechnical & Automation SkillsExperience integrating with Adobe and third-party APIsPython scripting experience for automation or analytics workflowsFamiliarity with crawling and site analysis tools such as: Screaming FrogPython-based crawlersEnterprise & Global ExperienceExperience supporting international or multi-region analytics deploymentsUnderstanding of enterprise marketing analytics and customer lifecycle measurementKnowledge of privacy, compliance, and consent management considerations for analytics implementationsAdditional InformationOpportunity to work on enterprise-scale digital analytics initiativesCollaborative, cross-functional environmentExposure to modern analytics platforms and customer experience technologies
