Temporary HR Manager (Boston)

Location: Boston, MA | HybridPay Range: $50-$60/hourSchedule: Part-time, 20-30 hours/weekAssignment Duration: ~5 months beginning June 2026About the OpportunityA growing environmental services organization is seeking an experienced, highly responsive Temporary HR Manager to provide leave coverage for approximately 5 months, beginning in mid-June. This opportunity is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a people-first environment and enjoys serving as a trusted resource, strategic partner, and culture ambassador for employees and leadership alike.Qualifications & SkillsPrevious experience in an HR Manager, Senior HR Generalist, or similar human resources leadership roleStrong experience with ADP Workforce Now highly preferredDemonstrated knowledge of: Payroll administration, Benefits administration, Talent acquisition, Employee relations, and HR complianceExcellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently while maintaining a supportive and approachable presenceExperience in a fast-paced, collaborative professional environment preferredKey Job FunctionsManage semi-monthly payroll processing using ADP Workforce Now (ADP WFN)Oversee benefits administration, including monthly benefit statements, employee inquiries, broker communication, and annual renewal supportCoordinate and support the full recruitment process, including:Developing job descriptionsPartnering with hiring managersPosting jobs on LinkedIn and other platformsScreening candidatesConducting proactive candidate outreachManaging interview scheduling and communicationSupport leadership with employee relations, HR operations, and training initiativesMaintain a highly responsive, collaborative, and positive employee experienceServe as a trusted HR resource and sounding board for team members across the organizationApply NowIf you are an experienced HR professional looking for a flexible and impactful temporary opportunity, we encourage you to apply today!Founded in 1969, JOHNLEONARD, a woman-owned business, is the premier staffing choice in Boston and beyond.
