MaineFood Group is a specialty foods processor and manufacturer. We partner with brands, retailers, restaurants, and farmers to craft and commercialized food products. We make salsa, sauce, dips, condiments, and pickled products.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Packer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that products are accurately packed and prepared for shipment. This role requires a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and safety while handling various materials and fulfilling orders. The Packer will work closely with the production team to maintain an organized and productive environment.
Responsibilities
Accurately pack and prepare productions for shipment in accordance with company standards.
Load and unload materials from trucks, containers, fridges, and freezers ensuring proper handling techniques are followed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packing area to promote a safe working environment.
Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
Conduct quality checks on packaged products to ensure they meet specifications before shipment.
Assist in inventory management by reporting any discrepancies or issues with stock levels.
Cleaning and sanitation for the final one to two hours on production days.
Qualifications
Previous experience in packing, order fulfillment, or materials handling is preferred.
Familiarity with mechanical operations related to packing equipment is a plus.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining quality standards.
Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods during shifts.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
A proactive attitude towards safety practices within the workplace.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
