Bring order, accuracy, and reliability to a food manufacturing facility's parts operation. Advantage Technical is hiring an Inventory Control Project Manager for a 6-month contract to lead a full-scale storeroom overhaul, from physical organization to CMMS implementation, that keeps production running and downtime low.
Pay: $28.00–$35.00/hour
Schedule: Regular business hours
Position Type: 6-month contract
What You'll Do (Job Duties):
Organize, clean, and tag all parts using logical storage systems by equipment type, criticality, and location
Conduct a full physical inventory count and reconcile with existing records
Build and maintain accurate part data in the CMMS, including min/max stock levels and critical spares
Establish check-in/check-out, usage tracking, and reorder procedures to prevent stockouts
Create labels, signage, and visual management tools for lasting organization
Identify obsolete or duplicate parts and recommend disposal or consolidation
Train technicians on new storeroom processes and CMMS transactions
Ensure all work complies with GMP, HACCP, and workplace safety standards
What You Bring (Qualifications and Requirements):
3–5+ years in inventory management, storeroom organization, or maintenance planning in a manufacturing/industrial setting (food or pharma experience preferred)
Hands-on CMMS implementation or optimization experience
Strong knowledge of MRO best practices
Excellent organizational skills and ability to bring order to complex environments
Comfort reading technical drawings, equipment manuals, or parts lists
Physical ability to lift moderate weights and work on your feet in a factory setting
