Cloud Engineer (AWS/JavaScript)

JavaScript/Cloud Engineer Position Details:Duration: CTH (6-12 month to hire) Rate/Salary: Tclient – willing to see options Location: Fully remote – teams are nationally based Remote Capabilities (Y/N): Yes – open to 100% remote (flex hours) Interview Process: 45 minutes 2-step (2nd step typically includes a coding test) Allowed to do the coding test as a "take home" if they want and allow/expect between 3-4 hours for that if they prefer that option Level of experience target (junior/mid/senior and/or years of experience): Senior – 7+ years preferred but flexible in that 5 year range or so. Will be individual contributor roles not leads.Education or Certification Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. No cert requests/preferences.Industry Experience requirements/preferences: Ecommerce experience is preferred but not required. Not concerned with enterprise level experience versus smaller shops.Role: JavaScript/Cloud Engineer Project Details – Size, Scale, Scope? Part of a queuing system project – requests come in and they don't want to crash the system during busy times so need them to be queued for viewing/working.Day to Day Responsibilities/typical day look like: Focused on development within a distributed environment (cloud) Will NOT be doing any UI development or any user facing work – will all be heads down cloud with some basic server-side work possible What are the top must-have technologies/required experience for the position? 1. JavaScript (cloud or server-side – NodeJS or otherwise would work) - NOT just UI development work 2. AWS lambdas - Willing to be more flexible on this if needed 3. Experience working on distributed systems Preferred qualifications: 1. Google Cloud
