We work to make the region a great place to live, work, and thrive.What Will I Be Doing?Working independently and/or with other staff in completing assignmentsPlanning and performing internal audits, program reviews, and special projectsSubrecipient monitoring including site visits, desk reviews of financial reporting packages, and pre-award reviewsPreparing working papers and report drafts for supervisory reviewsWorking with auditees and contractors to implement audit recommendationsCompleting special projects as assigned by the DirectorKey QualificationsDegree in Accounting or Business AdministrationExperience in Governmental Accounting and/or AuditingComputer skills and software experience in Office 365, Teams, Word, and Excel.Ability to plan and execute audit procedures including formal reportingKnowledge of Federal Uniform Grant Guidance and Auditing StandardsDo You HaveBachelor's degree in an applicable academic discipline or related field of study3 years of experience working with local government, nonprofit programs, school, or in job-related dutiesPreferred QualificationsObtained or Pursuing Professional Certification (CPA, CIA, or CISA)Experience in internal auditing or public accountingAbility to do data analysis, and statistical sampling using software
