SAP Business Objects Developer

We are hiring for an SAP Business Objects Developer to participate in the design, realization, and cutover to a new SAP Retail solution. The SAP Architect will play a key role that may span a broad range of reporting development and is expected to provide technical and subject matter expertise. As a SAP Business Objects Developer, you will be responsible for working closely with ERP Project and Key Food IT team members to understand, analyze and articulate complex business requirements and the subsequent analysis and development of quality business reporting that are aligned with the business objectives and IT strategies in accordance with the organizations standards. You will perform design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of Business Objects reports and Universes in BI for the organization reporting initiatives. Additionally, the candidate may develop complex dashboards and advanced analytics as required. You will manage interactions with stakeholders across Key Food related to reporting and analytics initiatives, including business need assessment, prioritization of activities, and change management. The individual will serve in an on-call capacity to handle troubleshooting and other issues that arise when required. You will not have responsibility for personnel management. We are a company of passionate people that think big, think differently, avoid complacency, and do the right thing for our members and require the right person that shares these values Client Job Description • Develop in Business Objects to generate ad-hoc reports, canned/standard reports, and dashboards as per the specifications and modify and enhance as needed.• Create technical specifications for BI reporting. • Responsible for Business Objects reports and universe architecture, design, writing both data universes and reports. • Apply BI best practices during development with a strong focus on reusability and better performance.• Demonstrate experience in data modeling tools and concepts.• Ability to design universes from star schema (with slowly changing dimensions) & snowflake schema databases/data warehouses.• Ability to build KPI's, visualizations, stories, drill down, simulation, planning /what if/predictive/collaboration for Boardroom• Design hybrid data integration /interfaces across cloud and on-premises data sources• Ensure proper cleanup and general maintenance of Business Objects application servers is scheduled and carried out.• Debug and solve problems by tracing from the report all the way to the source. Extensively use back-end functions, procedures, tables, views required by the business objects universes, used BO functionality like Queries, Slice and Dice, Drill down, @Function, Variables, Breaks, Sorting, alerted, applying of filters, Formulae etc.• Perform data analysis and data profiling against source systems and data warehouse.• Familiarity with Tableau or QlikView beneficial o SAP ERP Project• Full life cycle development experience from design through implementation and production support• Responsible for achieving objectives and deliverables for their area within the project plan.• Ensures deliverables are met on time and adhere to project standards and quality.• Provides process knowledge as input to business process designs.• Attends workshops as needed and participates actively.• Actively participates in development scoping activities.• Test solutions to validate whether requirements have been met; develop test plans, test scripts, and test conditions based on the business and system requirements.• Coordinate and demo prototype reviews and validate that solutions meet requirements and review/fine tune report deliverables.• Contributes to achievement of team performance and quality standards as defined by service level agreements.• Understands all data system integrations from SAP and various systems including Point of Sale and Scale Management• Provide training and support to business users to promote understanding of Business Intelligence environment and usage of Business Intelligence reports and BI Launch pad tools and features.• Provide estimates for report/Universe maintenance tasks. EDUCATION• Minimum Bachelors (BS) in computer science, Software Engineering, Technology Management, or related field required. Master (MS) preferred. Ravi Approved Fed 2023o SKILLS & EXPERIENCE• 5 + years of experience with SAP Business Objects as an administrator and developer (Universe design and Report Development)• Apply BI best practices during development with a strong focus on reusability and better performance.• Keep other designers, team leads, project managers well informed of progress and results.• Provide estimates based on analysis of report specifications and BRD.• Translate business requirements to technical specifications in terms of BO universe and report design.• Experience with high volume of data, in performance tuning of BO Universes, and relational databases• Self- motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in team environments.• Must have the ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines in a fast changing environment.• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.• Experience delivering Proof of Concepts.• Knowledge of all phases of SDLC and full lifecycle implementations• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with co-op and store members and colleagues at all levels of organization, multi-lingual a plus.• Demonstrated ability to diagnose incident root cause and take corrective action to resolve in addition to preventative measures in the future Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $100,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Schedule: * 8 hour shift Work Location: Hybrid remote in Matawan, NJ 07747
