The core purpose of this role is to provide students with early exposure to foundational algebraic concepts. This program serves as a cornerstone for students looking to sharpen algebra before the upcoming academic year, ensuring they enter their algebra courses with a robust foundation of both knowledge and practical experience.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESInstructional Leadership and Classroom OperationsDeliver high-quality instruction to ensure students have a solid foundation of biology content and lab skills required for success in freshman year biology courses.Develop and maintain structured classroom environments that support academic engagement and positive student behaviorModify curriculum and instructional strategies to maintain academic rigor while addressing diverse learning needs.EXPECTATIONSMaintain regular and reliable attendance during the programParticipate in 4 hours of curriculum development for the Boost Program.Maintain confidentiality of all student information in accordance with FERPA and district policy.QUALIFICATIONSRequiredIllinois Professional Educator License (PEL)Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.Strong communication, organizational, and data analysis skills.PreferredExperience working with high school studentsExperience in teaching Algebra courses at the high school levelCOMPLIANCE LANGUAGEAll employees must adhere to district Board Policy, administrative procedures, and the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
