Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist (Sign-On Bonus Provided) Location: Oakland, CA and Fairfield, CAJob Type: Full-Time (On-site)Shift: Day ShiftSetting: Outpatient Therapy ClinicJob Summary:A patient-focused outpatient practice is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist/Hand Therapist to provide high-quality upper-extremity rehabilitation. This role offers a collaborative environment with opportunities for professional growth, including advanced hand therapy training. Newer clinicians with a strong interest in hand therapy are encouraged to apply.Roles and Responsibilities:Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans in accordance with AOTA standardsProvide occupational and hand therapy services, including custom splinting and castingSet measurable goals in collaboration with patients and referring providersDocument evaluations, treatments, and progress accurately and on timeAdjust treatment plans based on patient response and clinical judgmentSupervise therapy assistants and aides per state regulationsParticipate in student education and clinical mentorshipCommunicate effectively with physicians, case managers, employers, and payersSupport quality improvement initiatives, clinic operations, and program developmentTravel occasionally between clinic locations as neededQualifications, Licensure, and Experience:Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (ACOTE/AOTA)Meets state licensure requirements for Occupational TherapyEligible for or completing advanced practice requirements in Hand Therapy and/or Physical Agent ModalitiesCurrent CPR certificationCurrent TB clearance per state guidelinesStrong knowledge of upper-extremity anatomy, pathology, tissue healing, and post-surgical protocolsExperience or training in use of thermal and electrical modalities preferredPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift or assist patients up to 50 lbsAbility to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, and pull equipment throughout the workdayAdequate vision, hearing, and verbal communication skills for patient careFine motor coordination for splint fabrication and detailed documentationBenefits:
