POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a seasoned and motivated Controller/CFO to join our accounting team in Fort Myers, FL. As the leader of the accounting department, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of Stevens Construction, its subsidiaries, and related companies. Your success will be predicated upon your ability to inspire and develop your team, converting data into actionable information and providing exceptional customer service throughout the organization.
In this role, you will be responsible for the overall fiscal functions of the company, overseeing internal and external accounting operations including compliance, financial controls, forecasts, reports, treasury, tax, and other accounting procedures. You will be the architect of financial processes, creating an environment of continuous improvement to support the evolution of the business.
Collaborating with the Executive Leadership Team, you will support organizational transformation, maximize financial performance, and protect company assets in alignment with Stevens Construction's overall purpose, vision, and strategy. The ideal candidate will be a leader who can ensure financial excellence while fostering a culture of high performance and exceptional service within the accounting department.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required
Minimum of 5 years of general construction accounting experience
CPA Certification preferred but not requiredAdvanced experience in Excel and proficiency in MS Office suite
Strong leadership and communication skills
Experience with software integrations/migrations/implementations
