Senior Graphic Designer (NYC Soho Office)

We believe design has a responsibility to people, to places, and to the future, and we're building a team that shares those values.The RoleAs a Senior Designer at Resonance, you play a critical role in shaping brand systems and creative solutions that align design excellence with client goals and broader community impact.This role combines hands-on design execution, conceptual leadership, and client-facing collaboration. You will work closely with the Creative Director and Associate Creative Director, as well as cross-disciplinary teams while taking ownership of projects, mentoring others, and contributing to the overall creative culture of the studio.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate closely with the Creative Director, Associate Creative Director and creative team to develop compelling concepts and creative campaigns aligned with creative briefs, brand strategy, and client business objectives.Design brand identities, creative campaigns, websites, environmental designs and other creative solutions that align with client objectives and support the overall growth of Resonance's creative practice.Apply a strong conceptual lens informed by current trends, strategies, techniques, and technologies in branding and design.Iterate on multiple ideas/solutions tailored for each project.Confidently pitch ideas, present work, and build trusted client relationships through discovery workshops, presentations, site visits, and ongoing collaboration.Manage multiple projects simultaneously, remaining flexible through revisions while maintaining a high level of detail, organization, and accountability.Take full responsibility for assigned projects, ensuring they run smoothly from concept through execution and meet creative, strategic, and operational expectations.Demonstrate expert knowledge of typography, colour, layout, and imagery to clearly express a brand’s personality, voice, and values.Comfortably lead projects from start to finish or step in at any stage—whether developing big ideas, managing workflows, supporting presentations, or executing quick-turn production tasks such as resizing assets or preparing files for print and digital use.Take initiative with minimal oversight, offering guidance and mentorship to fellow designers while collaborating effectively with copywriters, project managers, account directors, and strategists.Maintain strong knowledge of print techniques and digital production workflows, proactively troubleshooting issues and ensuring all files are organized and production-ready.Demonstrate a growth mindset by actively developing skills beyond design, including strategy, client management, leadership, and giving and receiving constructive feedback.Qualifications & ExperienceYou bring a balance of creative excellence, professionalism, and collaboration, including:6+ years of professional experience in branding, graphic design, or visual communicationsComfortable working on a variety of design projects: from complete branding exercises to web developmentA strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, brand systems, and execution across print and digitalAdvanced proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative SuiteExperience preparing files for print and digital productionConfidence presenting work and collaborating with clients and internal teamsInterest in placemaking, cities, travel, architecture, hospitality, restaurants, and the built environmentStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities independentlyExperience in the luxury and hospitality sectors is a plus.Why Work at ResonanceAt Resonance, you’ll work on projects that shape the places people live, visit, and care about.
