VetPowered is dedicated to bringing advanced manufacturing back to America.Key Job Functions:At VetPowered, the CNC Machinery Repair Technician plays a critical role in maintaining and repairing CNC and industrial equipment. This position focuses on troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance to support safe, efficient, and accurate machine operation. The role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and the ability to work both independently and with internal teams and customers.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Machine Installation and Setup:\n\nInstall and set up CNC machines according to manufacturer specifications.\nConduct thorough testing and calibration to ensure accuracy and functionality.\n\nRoutine Maintenance:\n\nPerform preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life\nInspect, clean, and lubricate machine components according to maintenance schedules\n\nTroubleshooting and Repairs:\n\nDiagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues\nPerform repairs in a timely manner to support production schedules\nRepair and maintain industrial equipment including shears, press brakes, ironworkers, saws, CNC mills and lathes, plasma tables, lasers, waterjets, and related machinery\nSupport equipment transport, rigging, and setup as required\n\nDocumentation:\n\nMaintain accurate service records, including maintenance and repair history\nDocument machine adjustments, modifications, and configurations\nTrack work performed on equipment, vehicles, and assigned assets\n\nTraining and Support:\n\nProvide guidance to operators on proper machine use and basic maintenance\nSupport production teams with technical questions and troubleshooting\n\nSafety Compliance:\n\nFollow all safety procedures during service and maintenance activities\nIdentify and address potential safety risks related to equipment operation\n\nCollaboration:\n\nWork with manufacturing, engineering, and operations teams to improve equipment performance\nCommunicate clearly with internal teams and customers to support service delivery\n\nService Calls and Expectations:\n\nMaintain a professional appearance and represent VetPowered appropriately on customer sites\nCommunicate clearly with customers regarding scope of work, findings, and next steps\nPrepare quotes, perform work, and coordinate materials as needed to complete service requests\nDeliver consistent, professional, and respectful customer support\nReview service contracts and repair requests prior to and during service execution\n\nOther Duties:\n\nSupport shop and field operations including maintenance, cleaning, diagnostics, and equipment rebuilds\nAssist with facility maintenance as needed\nDeliver or pick up parts, materials, and supplies\nSafely use hand and power tools\nSafely lift up to 50 lbs without assistance\nPerform other duties as assigned in support of company operations\nOther duties as required in support of the department and company goals.\n\nQualifications & Work Experience:To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily (with or without an accommodation). The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or education a plus.\n5+ years of industry experience working for a large OEM, or a third party service company such as DMG, Nakamura, Methods, Fanuc, DM Solutions, Ellison, Citizen, Makino, Star, Takisawa, Matsuura, Hardinge, Usach, Kellenberger, etc\nProven experience as a CNC Machining Service Technician or in a similar role.\nStrong knowledge of CNC machine operations and troubleshooting.\nProficiency in the use and employment of advanced machine tool calibration systems such as Renishaw QC-20 Ballbar and XL-80 Laser Interferometer.\nProficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.\nFamiliarity with various CNC control systems and software.\nProficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook\n\nMission and ValuesContribute to achievement of the Mission and Vision of our organization by being:\n\n\nAttention to Detail- The ability to accomplish a task while demonstrating a thorough concern for all the areas involved, no matter how small.\n\nAll In-Brings their whole self to work and giving it their all no matter how difficult the job or situation.\n\nAccountable- Taking personal responsibility for their work, owns mistakes, communicate honestly rather than hiding the truth, does not blame others or make excuses.\n\nAdaptable- Easily adjusts to changing circumstances.\n\nAlways Improving- A constant, ongoing effort to improve something. Overtime may be required based on workload and customer needs. There may also be opportunities for weekend work.Pay: This position includes base hourly pay, with eligibility for overtime and potential incentive compensation.The range of pay for this California-based position is $38.50 - $50.00 per hour.The actual compensation offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
