Staff Software Engineer, Infrastructure

For our client, we are seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Infrastructure to join the team of a leader in the Hospitals & Medical Centers space.This role will help shape the foundation of a scalable healthcare platform, with a focus on backend architecture, distributed systems, and cloud-native infrastructure. You will partner closely with engineering teams to improve system agility, reliability, and performance in support of new product capabilities. The position also calls for strong technical leadership, including mentoring engineers and driving thoughtful architecture decisions across the organization.Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $230,000 – $270,000 annuallyResponsibilities Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable systems for the platform and backend teams Propose, design, and implement cloud-based solutions for system agility and scalability Drive technical discussions and provide guidance on coding standards and architecture principles Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure new features meet customer needs and quality standards Mentor mid-level engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvementQualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience Minimum of 8 years of experience in backend development and platform architecture, with proven success in building scalable systems Experience designing and implementing distributed systems, including microservices and orchestration Expertise in cloud-based solutions, with hands-on experience in AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, and proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Java, Python, or GoBenefits Access to a full platform and specialists, including mental health and family planning care Wellness partnerships for whole-self care Flexible hybrid work model with in-office meals and related workplace perksOur client is an equal opportunity employer.
