Role OverviewThis role supports both the Technology Investment Office (TIO) and the Vendor Management Office (VMO)—small, highly collaborative teams responsible for execution, financial oversight, and governance across the technology and vendor portfolio.The position focuses on delivering financial and operational visibility into IT investments and vendor-related activities through structured analysis, reporting, and cross-functional coordination. Success requires strong ownership, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesPortfolio Financial & Investment ManagementTrack funding, spend, forecasts, variances, and remaining balances across assigned initiativesAnalyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, gaps, and opportunitiesTranslate findings into clear insights and actionable recommendationsReporting, Metrics & DashboardsDevelop and maintain performance metrics, KPIs, dashboards, and analytical reportingSupport leadership decision-making with accurate, timely, and well-structured outputsCreate executive-ready materials, including PowerPoint presentations and summary viewsGovernance & Cross-Functional CoordinationSupport governance processes and approval workflows across enterprise initiativesCoordinate inputs, validate data, and prepare materials for review forumsPartner closely with IT, Finance, PMO, Supply Management, Regulatory, and business stakeholdersDay-to-Day CollaborationOperate in a highly matrixed environment with frequent cross-functional interactionIndependently drive work forward, follow up on dependencies, and ensure data accuracyTeam Support BreakdownTechnology Investment Office (TIO)Weekly: Support governance process for business case approvalsMonthly: Report on capital results and forecasts; develop dashboards (Power BI exposure helpful)Quarterly: Track budget performance and support adjustmentsAd Hoc: Analyze capital budgets and present insights to leadershipVendor Management Office (VMO)Manage and analyze vendor investment fundsTrack and report investment performance to executive leadershipSupport governance processes and daily fund requestsProvide recurring reports and respond to ad hoc requests for metrics, KPIs, and contract analysis Required Skills & Qualifications Core RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, IT, or a related field preferred (relevant experience highly valued)2–8 years of professional experience with strong financial analysis and governance exposureAdvanced Excel skills requiredStrong written and verbal communication skillsHighly organized, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced, matrixed environmentTop Three Qualities for SuccessStrong Financial Acumen & Analytical AbilityAbility to interpret, question, and validate financial and operational inputsGoes beyond reporting to provide insights and recommendationsHigh Ownership in a Cross-Functional EnvironmentIndependently drives work across IT, Finance, PMO, Supply Management, and Regulatory teamsEffectively facilitates cross-functional conversations and resolves dependenciesClear, Structured Executive CommunicationTranslates complex or incomplete data into concise, leadership-ready outputsStrong PowerPoint skills and ability to highlight key trends, risks, and decisionsNice to Have / Secondary SkillsPower BI experienceIT experience (helpful but not required)TM1 experience (training available if needed) Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $42.00/hr.
