Our platform spans cloud backends, on-prem services, and edge devices deployed on the factory floor. The operators, supervisors, and managers who use our tools need interfaces that are fast, reliable, and intuitive—even when network conditions aren’t perfect and the environment is demanding.The RoleWe are hiring a Staff Full-Stack Software Engineer to build end-to-end features across the Factory OS web and edge applications. You will work from responsive frontends to backend APIs, delivering software that runs both in the cloud and directly on factory-floor edge devices. You will ship features that real operators use every day to run production lines.Key ResponsibilitiesFull-Stack Feature DevelopmentDevelop and ship features across web and edge-deployed applications using modern frontend frameworks and backend servicesBuild responsive, intuitive user interfaces for factory operators, supervisors, and managersDesign backend APIs and services that support both cloud and edge deployment targetsShip production-grade systems end-to-endEdge + ReliabilityImplement offline-capable and low-latency features for edge environments with intermittent connectivityDesign systems that tolerate degraded network modes and factory-floor conditionsWrite comprehensive tests (unit, integration, E2E) and participate in code reviewsCollaboration + PlatformCollaborate with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver cohesive user experiencesContribute to shared libraries, component systems, and developer tooling used across Factory OSTroubleshoot and resolve production issues across the full stackWhat We're Looking For8+ years of professional full-stack development experience, building and shipping real production softwareStrong proficiency in a modern frontend framework (React, Vue, or Svelte) and TypeScriptBackend experience with Node.js, Python, Go, or a similar server-side languageUnderstanding of RESTful and/or GraphQL API designComfort with relational databases, caching layers, and message queuesExperience deploying applications to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)Comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environmentNice To Have (Not Required)Experience building progressive web apps (PWAs) or offline-first applicationsFamiliarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or edge computing frameworksExposure to manufacturing, logistics, or industrial environmentsGrowth OpportunitiesOwn major product surfaces used by factory teams every dayGain deep exposure to edge computing and industrial software patternsInfluence frontend architecture and developer experience across the platformGrow into technical leadership within the application teamWhy Join Us?This is one of the only places where world-class manufacturing operators, mechanical engineers, robotics researchers, and software engineers sit in the same room — building production systems together.We are committed to being deeply embedded in the U.S. industrial base. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position, determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, interview performance, and relevant education or training. Foundry Robotics employees in eligible roles are also granted equity based compensation, subject to Board of Director approval.
