Production Supervisor

Position Summary The Production Supervisor provides leadership, support, and direction to production associates to ensure productivity, quality, and safety requirements are consistently met. This role drives continuous improvement, maintains efficient workflow, and upholds company standards in alignment with customer expectations. Primary Responsibilities Lead daily production activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. Support and promote Lean manufacturing and continuous-improvement initiatives. Ensure production work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Monitor daily work schedules and kanban systems to ensure timely and accurate completion of customer orders. Oversee equipment operation and ensure adherence to preventive maintenance schedules. Maintain a quality system that meets or exceeds IATF 16949 requirements. Ensure standardized work procedures are followed throughout all work areas. Maintain 5S standards and promote a clean, organized, and efficient workspace. Provide associates with proper training, resources, tools, and equipment necessary to meet job expectations. Conduct on-the-job training and cross-training to maintain flexibility and skill development. Assist in resolving associate concerns in accordance with company policies. Coach and develop team members to promote high performance and engagement. Administer company rules and regulations fairly and consistently. Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and operational efficiency. Coordinate with other departments to resolve production or processing issues. Facilitate ongoing communication between shifts and departments to ensure smooth workflow. Additional Responsibilities Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations, policies, and guidelines. Monitor kanban systems to optimize staffing and equipment utilization. Participate in safety meetings and support incident prevention initiatives. Stay informed on technical developments, process changes, and equipment updates relevant to the department. Education, Training & Experience Requirements Experience with production operations and knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes. Strong understanding of effective problem-solving techniques. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and foster a positive, productive work environment. Familiarity with Lean manufacturing tools and principles preferred.
