This role sits within Infrastructure Operations, focusing on the deployment, maintenance, and operational management of core IT infrastructure.A role you will loveThe Infrastructure Operations Engineer is responsible for the delivery, deployment, maintenance, support and optimisation of the core IT infrastructure. The role ensures that standard products and services are implemented efficiently and that systems remain reliable, secure, compliant and performant throughout their lifecycle.Other Key Duties And Responsibilities Are As FollowsDeployment & DeliveryDeploy, configure, and automate infrastructure solutions aligned to approved architecture and standardsSupport project transitions into production and execute changes through governed processesMaintenance & SupportMonitor infrastructure to ensure availability, performance, and capacityTroubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative actionsManage patching, upgrades, and lifecycle activitiesSupport incident, problem, and change management processesMaintain documentation, SOPs, and runbooksCollaborate with vendors and support disaster recovery planning and executionSecurity & ComplianceEnforce security best practices (patching, access control, system hardening)Ensure compliance with standards, policies, and audit requirementsSupport vulnerability management and security assessmentsSuccess MeasuresTimely, compliant delivery of infrastructure deployments with increasing automationHigh availability and performance aligned to SLAs and operational standardsEffective incident resolution, ticket management, and process adherenceStrong documentation, continuous improvement, and operational efficiencyPositive audit outcomes, security compliance, and stakeholder satisfactionWhat will you bring to the role?Functional KnowledgeStrong understanding of IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL), including capacity planning, SLAs, and service operationsBroad technical knowledge across infrastructure domains (servers, networks, storage, cloud, automation)Ability to define and implement operational and technical proceduresBusiness & Industry ExperienceCustomer-focused mindset with strong communication skillsAbility to align technology solutions with business needsExperience working in global, cross-functional environments (financial services experience is a plus)Problem Solving & ImpactProven ability to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues in enterprise environmentsExperience managing incidents and ensuring service continuityDirect impact on service performance, availability, and delivery against SLAsInterpersonal SkillsStrong stakeholder management and collaboration skillsSolutions-oriented with a proactive, continuous improvement mindsetHigh integrity, adaptability, and ability to manage sensitive informationTechnical ExpertiseCore SkillsStrong hands-on experience with Dell EMC storage platforms (PowerMax, PowerScale, ECS) and SAN technologies, including provisioning, zoning, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and lifecycle managementStrong hands-on experience with backup and recovery technologies, including Rubrik , covering policy management, backup operations, recovery testing, and data protection administrationEnterprise infrastructure (servers, storage, networks, cloud platforms)Virtualization (VMware, Nutanix)Microsoft ecosystem (Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID)Proven ExperienceDelivering and supporting complex enterprise infrastructure environmentsDriving automation and operational efficiencyInfrastructure security, access management, and complianceIncident troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and disaster recovery executionProven experience supporting enterprise storage estates, with a strong focus on Dell EMC products and SAN environments in business-critical operationsProven experience supporting enterprise backup and recovery services, with a strong focus on Rubrik and resilient data protection in business-critical environmentsQualifications (Preferred)Bachelor’s degree in IT or related fieldCertifications such as ITIL, PMP, Nutanix, Linux, or storage/data protectionRewards designed for youFlexible work to help you find the best balance between work and lifestyle.Health and wellbeing rewards that can be tailored to support you and your family.Invest in our business by setting aside salary to purchase shares in our company, and you’ll receive a company contribution as well.Extra rewards ranging from recognition awards and team get togethers to helping you invest in your future.
