If you want to work for a company that values your contributions and supports your growth, we would like to meet you.OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced Family Office Associate to join our team, reporting to a Family Office Manager.ResponsibilitiesPerforming basic bookkeeping functions on a daily, weekly, monthly basis; including:Creating new vendorsRecording vendor invoices in the general ledger as accounts payablePrepare payments (checks, ACH, wires) of vendor invoices and submit for reviewRecording cash movement transactions from financial institutionsRecord purchase of assets, capital improvements,Prepare journal entries for payroll, accruals and prepaid expensesCredit card statement processing – system input and review of supporting documentationMeticulous maintenance of client files/records in shared network foldersDaily tracking and following up on transactions, including vendor maintenanceCompleting vendor, credit and other applications on behalf of clientsRequesting completed W9 and NDA forms from vendorsCommunicating with vendors and following up on inquiriesProcessing 1099sCollecting invoices for annual sales tax returnResponding promptly to client’s various requestsFamiliarity with financial statementsAd hoc analysis and reportingQualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s degree in accounting2+ years’ accounting experience focusing on A/P, Journal Entries, Bank Reconciliations and Data EntryStrong proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables and v-lookups)Preferred experience with Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online; or similar accounting systems.Expeditious and accurate data entry skillsHighly motivated self-starter; independent workerAble to communicate well (both verbal and written) and build relationships within teamsPossesses core self-management skills: time management, organization, prioritization, resourcefulness, problem-solvingDetail oriented, Intelligent; InquisitiveExhibits accountability and ownershipStrive for continuous improvementFamily Office Experience preferredThis position description is intended to provide a general overview of the expectations and responsibilities of this position and may not include all tasks that may be assigned.
