CNC Programmer

*Job Summary* We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine programs to produce precision-engineered components. Your expertise in CNC programming, machining processes, and technical drawing interpretation will drive efficiency, quality, and innovation in our production operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery and contribute to high-precision manufacturing projects that demand excellence and precision. *Duties* * Develop and write CNC programs for a variety of machines including CNC lathe, milling machines, and 5-axis CNC machines using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software such as Mastercam. * Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards to ensure accurate machining processes. * Set up machining tools, fixtures, and tooling on CNC equipment, ensuring proper alignment and calibration for optimal performance. * Program CNC machines utilizing Fanuc controls or other relevant control systems to produce complex parts with high precision. * Conduct precision measurements using measurement instruments such as bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and bore gauges to verify part dimensions meet quality standards. * Optimize machining processes through lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency while maintaining high-quality output. * Troubleshoot machining issues related to geometry, tooling wear, or machine errors; perform adjustments as needed to maintain production flow. * Maintain detailed documentation of programs, setups, tooling configurations, and measurement data for quality control and continuous improvement purposes. *Experience* * Proven experience in CNC programming for metal machining operations on both CNC lathe and milling machines; experience with 5-axis CNC machines is highly desirable. * Strong proficiency in CAD software such as Mastercam combined with other CAM software for programming complex parts efficiently. * Extensive knowledge of Fanuc control systems and G-code programming language. * Familiarity with blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical blueprint interpretation to ensure precise manufacturing processes. * Hands-on experience with CNC tooling setup, fixture design, and machining tool selection for various materials. * Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations while maintaining quality standards. * Mechanical knowledge coupled with an understanding of schematics and engineering drawings is essential for success in this role.
