Brief DescriptionThe Chain Account Executive – Remote sales opportunity for the North East Zone is responsible for driving profitable sales growth through effective management of distributor and end-user chain accounts within the assigned geographic territory. This role develops and executes a consultative sales strategy that identifies customer needs, recommends value-added packaging solutions, and delivers measurable business results for Sabert. The position requires strong relationship management, business development, and cross-functional coordination to support Sabert’s growth objectives in the North East Zone.Essential Job FunctionsDistribution ManagementManage select distribution partners in the North East Zone and develop strong, productive working relationships.Develop and implement annual sales and marketing plans with distributor partners to expand Sabert sales and drive profitable revenue growth.Identify and pursue tier 1 distribution targets to support long-term growth.Oversee local marketing programs, trade spend, rebates, and related account activities.Conduct sales meetings and distributor sales representative training.Support new product launches to ensure effective introduction and adoption by distribution partners.Organize and support marketing events and customer activities as needed to achieve business goals.Resolve open issues and concerns with distributor partners in a timely and professional manner.Develop and maintain distributor and operator pipeline reports to support end-user sales efforts.Manage local and national distribution programs in alignment with Sabert’s pay-for-performance philosophy.Sales ActivitiesContinually develop and pursue qualified leads and prospects within the assigned territory.Meet with current and potential customers to understand business needs and propose product solutions.Use consultative and value-added selling techniques to develop new business opportunities.Partner with customers and internal teams to close sales and advance account growth.Manage current accounts and relationships while resolving open issues and concerns.Participate in marketing events and activities to support territory and business objectives.Maintain awareness of market trends and competitive activityAdministrative ActivitiesProvide accurate forecasts related to case volume and revenue.Maintain and update account records, pricing, and sales activity in appropriate systems.Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new product introductions, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.Provide written and verbal updates on sales activity and competitive activity to management.Support other projects and initiatives as assigned.Required Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesAbility to build rapport quickly and maintain strong customer relationships.Excellent communication skills, including listening, probing, questioning, and presentation skills.Strong consultative selling, persuasion, and negotiation skills.Analytical skills with the ability to evaluate situations, identify solutions, and understand financial impact.Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Sense of urgency and proven ability to close sales.Strong project management, organization, and planning skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Strong results orientation and high personal initiative.Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.QualificationsEducation and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Foodservice Management, Packaging, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible sales experience.Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, preferably in the foodservice packaging industry, with demonstrated success managing distributors and working with end-user operators.Experience in packaging and/or plastic packaging is preferred.Valid driver’s license required.SummaryWhat makes Sabert a great place to work:Pay, Benefits And More.Sabert is eager to attract the best, so we offer competitive compensation and a generous benefits package, including full health insurance (medical, dental and vision), 401(k), life insurance, disability and more.
