At RIVA, people are our #1 priority.Project DescriptionRIVA’s Federal Government customer is in need of technical services and support to provide Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services and services in support of increasing the Data Maturity for their customer. The services and support requested include project management, platform and application operations and maintenance, data services, data coaching, data taxonomy and data management, data governance and strategy, application security, and delivery management.The purpose of this work is to provide service-oriented IT support to the customer, for ongoing support services of Data Services. RIVA is providing an integrated, manageable, scalable, and flexible solution that meets the core support services and that maximizes the use of commercially available provisioned service solutions such that the purchase of new infrastructure for their customer.The services RIVA is providing are based on the Enterprise Core Services such that the Government can benefit from the existing services and economies of scale. RIVA will be presenting a solution that easily provides for evolution of services and that provides a proactive approach to ensuring service evolution and innovation occurs. Evolution includes technological effectiveness in meeting the customer’s missions and providing reduced cost and increased efficiency over timePosition Description And ResponsibilitiesThe Sr. Data Analyst shall be responsible for supporting the enablement of data by providing meaningful business value through easy-to-comprehend data visualizations, enabling others to perform self-service analytics, and deploying and configuring solutions for consumption. The Sr. Data Analyst must be proficient in using Power Query and writing expressions by using Data Analysis Expressions (DAX)They will be collaborating with enterprise data analysts and data engineers to identify and acquire data, understanding row-level data security and data sensitivity.The Sr. Data Analyst needs to be experienced in using Power BI to transform data, create data models, visualize data, and share data assets. The Sr. Data Analyst shall present emerging data analytics topics of interest to the customer’s Data Practitioners Community of Practice while developing high value training that represents specific use cases.They will provide coaching to Power BI users thru troubleshooting and/or guidance on their data visualizations, serve as the Power BI expert at bi-monthly Open Office sessions, and support in increasing data acumen to drive maturity in leveraging data as an asset.RequirementsMS/MA DegreeMicrosoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate.
