Job Summary
Liaisons between the on-site Waterfront Management, private sector shipyards, prime contractors, sub-contractors, and SUPSHIP personnel. Performs most of the duties down at the waterfront aboard US Navy ships and will require lifting of equipment that could weigh up to 30lbs. Candidate needs to be able to plan, oversee, coordinate and resolve technical issues to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame, and is proactive, innovative, collaborative, and driven to achieve desired results. Ability to work under pressure and respond to changing demands.
Responsibilities and Duties
Assists the Government DDG Onsite government platform manager with onsite technical support to include systems, network, security tests or certifications during all phases of ships production, availability and trials. Coordinates the SOVTs with the ISEAs, witness testing and crew acceptance of the C4I systems. Reviews and provides input to schedules provided by the Government Lead as they pertain to C4I systems. Composes and sends out status updates for all NIWC C4I installs. Attends working group meetings and coordinates VIP visits/briefs related to C4I Systems as required.
Qualifications and Skills
Required knowledge and years of experience
Must have at least five (5) years of experience in operation, maintenance, repair, systems integration, test and evaluation, and integrated logistics support/life cycle support of shipboard C4ISR and EXCOMM System.
NIWC Installation processes and procedures, and Shipyard processes and training requirements.
Education Requirements
High School diploma is required, US Navy background in Electronics tech or Information technology preferred.
