Program Manager – Actalent Location: Pasadena, CA Job Description As a Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating project tasks and engineering milestones to ensure deadlines are met within the agreed time frame and budget. You will manage project tasks for development projects, excluding the Build-to-Print and contract manufacturing side of the business, and lead technical scopes with software, firmware, and electrical engineers. Responsibilities Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and budget while adhering to quality standards and procedures. Partner with engineers to discuss design and engineering choices for profitability and scheduled timelines. Manage communication between subcontractors, internal partners, and customers. Coordinate technical scope and lead project teams in a matrix leadership environment. Essential Skills 5+ years of experience in Project Management, Program Management, or Project Engineering for development and R&D projects. Experience leading projects or programs with a technical scope, specifically partnering with software, firmware, and electrical engineers. Direct experience managing budgets, schedules, timelines for deliverables, and customer communication. Additional Skills & Qualifications Preferred experience with government programs, particularly in space and defense. Work Environment The work environment is a small site with office space and assembly and lab areas, located in a modest office building within a small business park that houses Maxar Technologies. The company is a space avionics and sensor systems company with a customer base in commercial, space, and defense markets, founded in Pasadena, California in 2001. The work revolves around the success of missions, involving the development, manufacture, and testing of video systems integrated into satellites, rockets, and spacecraft, control systems for experiments and payloads, data management equipment, and sequencing systems for spacecraft telemetry. The company has played a key role in all major space missions, including the Space Shuttle, the International Space Station, and NASA's Artemis program. Pay and Benefits Pay Range: $50.00 - $70.00/hr.
