Maintenance Mechanic II (First Shift)

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Mechanic II to support production/ facility operations through hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement efforts. This role is critical to ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a safe, efficient manufacturing environment.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipmentRespond to equipment issues and support rapid troubleshooting to minimize downtimeExecute work orders, including documentation, parts tracking, and close-outFollow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), hot work permits, and safe equipment operationOperate powered industrial equipment (e.g., forklifts) in a safe mannerMaintain and repair pumps, motors, gearboxes, and rotating equipment.Install, repair, and modify piping systems, including PVC, copper, stainless steel, and carbon steelConduct leak detection and system testing for gas and liquid systemsRead and interpret basic P&IDs and mechanical drawingsPerform hands-on welding (MIG, TIG, and/or stick) for equipment repair, piping, and general fabricationPerform basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs (primarily low voltage)Perform basic HVAC system maintenance and troubleshooting, including inspection of refrigeration systems and componentsQUALIFICATIONS2+ years industrial maintenance experience or equivalent in a manufacturing or process environmentHands-on experience with:-Mechanical systems and equipment repair-Industrial piping and plumbing-Basic electrical and facility maintenance-Welding experience required, including MIG, TIG, or stick welding in an industrial setting-Pipefitting and pipe welding (stainless steel and/or carbon steel)SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITYThis position does not have supervisory responsibilities.WORK ENVIRONMENTThis position is required to work in a manufacturing warehouse environment.PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is required to stand for long periods of time and engage in climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. The employee regularly lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds.TRAVELLocal travel may be required to/from offsite storage facilities, suppliers, etc. using company or personal vehicles.POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORKThis is a full-time, non-exempt shift-based position, hours as assigned:Shift Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm (Mon-Fri)OVERTIMEOvertime hours may be required or offered depending on plant and company needs but are not guaranteed.COMPENSATION$38 - $40 per hour.
