QC Microbiology Lab AnalystLocation: Berkeley, CA (Onsite) Duration: 12-Month Contract (Potential for Extension) Pay: $30–35/hour (Depending on Experience) Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week | Start time around 8:00 AM (±1 hour) | Occasional overtime, weekends, or holidays as neededWe are seeking a QC Microbiology Lab Analyst to join a leading biotechnology company in Berkeley, CA. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to gain hands-on microbiology experience while supporting the testing and release of clinical and commercial products in a GMP laboratory environment.In this role, you'll work alongside an experienced team of microbiology professionals supporting critical product release timelines through laboratory testing and quality control activities.ResponsibilitiesPerform microbiology testing on clinical, commercial, and development samplesConduct microbiological assays, including growth promotion testingSupport day-to-day operations within the QC Microbiology laboratoryFollow GMP guidelines, SOPs, safety procedures, and regulatory requirementsMaintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environmentAssist with method verification activities for clinical and commercial productsAccurately document testing results and laboratory activitiesLearn new laboratory techniques and become proficient in microbiological assaysQualificationsBachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, or a related Life Sciences field1–2 years of laboratory experience (pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or GMP environment preferred)Experience working with aseptic techniquesStrong attention to detail and ability to follow written proceduresExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and time management skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Preferred QualificationsExperience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology laboratoryQC Microbiology experienceKnowledge of microbiology compendial testing and regulatory requirementsExperience working in a GMP laboratoryWhat We're Looking ForTeam-oriented and collaborative mindsetFlexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environmentStrong problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionWillingness to learn and develop new laboratory skills
