We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Staff Nurse (RN) to make a difference in caring for patients in our community. We provide compassionate short- and long-term healthcare and specialized medical support.Responsibilities:Review, communicate and contribute to the day-to-day functions of the Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and Personal Care Attendants (PCA)Provide medications by mouth, subcutaneous or intramuscular injections as orderedComplete wound care as ordered to improve skin integrityMake written and oral reports/recommendations concerning the activities of your shift for continuity of careCommunicate with family members of residents as needed in the event of receiving new orders, a change in condition or a simple check-in to ensure the resident is safe, well, and contentParticipate and shine in center surveys (inspections)Assist in planning the nursing services portion of the resident's discharge plansAdmit, transfer, and discharge residentsComplete accident/incident reports as necessaryChart in electronic files using Point Click Care in an informative and descriptive manner that reflects the care provided as well as residents' responses to careReceive telephone orders from physicians on dutyOrder prescribed medications, supplies, and equipment as necessaryEnsure that narcotics are handled in accordance with federal, state, and local regulationsParticipate in associate performance evaluations and make recommendations to the Nurse SupervisorDevelop work assignmentsMake daily rounds of your unit/shift to ensure resident safety is a Top PriorityMeet with the nursing personnel on your shift a regularly to improve servicesAdminister professional services such as catheterizations, tube feedings, suction, applying and changing dressings/bandages, packs, colostomy, and drainage bags, etcAttend and participate in all center in-service programs as requiredMaintain professional competence through participation in continuing education programs, seminars, and training programsQualifications:MUST hold a current and valid RN licenseCOVID-19 vaccination is a requirement of employment.
