Location: Camp Smith, HI (MARFORPAC)Clearance Required: Active Secret (TS/SCI preferred or eligible)Employment Type: Full-TimePosition OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Medical Logistics Operations & Planning Analyst (MEDLOG SME) to support the Office of the Force Surgeon (OFS) within U.S. Marine Forces Pacific (MARFORPAC). This role provides operational and strategic-level medical logistics (MEDLOG) expertise to support Health Services Support (HSS) operations, planning, and assessments across the Indo-Pacific theater.The selected candidate will serve as a key advisor to leadership, integrating medical logistics capabilities into operational planning, readiness assessments, and campaign execution. This position requires close coordination with OFS leadership, G-4 logistics staff, INDOPACOM stakeholders, and subordinate units.Key ResponsibilitiesMedical Logistics Operations SupportSupport execution of MEDLOG operations aligned with Force Surgeon priorities and MARFORPAC HSS requirementsIdentify and assess operational MEDLOG requirements through coordination with subordinate and adjacent unitsDevelop recommendations based on current and projected medical logistics capabilitiesMaintain MEDLOG operational baseline and contribute to overall logistics assessmentsMonitor classified and unclassified communications to identify emerging requirements, risks, and updatesDevelop and manage Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms) for MEDLOG initiativesReview and validate operational products including briefs, reports, and action plansMaintain and update task tracking systems (e.g., TEAMS Task Tracker)Operational Planning & IntegrationProvide MEDLOG expertise in Working Groups (WG), Operational Planning Teams (OPT), and synchronization meetingsSupport development of operational plans (OPLANs), Concept of Operations (CONOPs), and campaign planning effortsAdvise leadership on sustainment capabilities, Class VIII requirements, and Global Pre-positioning Network (GPN) considerationsAlign MEDLOG planning with Marine Corps Planning Process (MCPP) and joint doctrineAssess and integrate Allied and Partner logistics capabilities into planning effortsIdentify capability gaps, risks, and opportunities across the theaterReporting & BriefingPrepare executive-level briefings, including quad slides and operational summariesProvide weekly updates to the Force Surgeon and senior leadershipContribute to Surgeon General updates and synchronization briefingsCompile inputs for monthly and quarterly Situation Reports (SITREPs)Support After-Action Reports (AARs), lessons learned, and readiness assessmentsStrategic Assessments & AnalysisConduct research and analysis of MEDLOG operations and planning activitiesEvaluate doctrinal updates and recommend policy or planning adjustmentsSupport annual Joint Assessments and campaign plan revisionsProvide input to Annex Q and other sustainment planning documentsIdentify equipment, funding, and capability shortfallsCoordination & Stakeholder EngagementCollaborate with OFS Directors (M4 Logistics, M5 Plans), G-4 staff, and INDOPACOM stakeholdersParticipate in cross-functional synchronization meetings across MARFORPAC and adjacent commandsCoordinate MEDLOG inputs across multiple echelons and organizationsProvide guidance to subordinate elements on reporting and planning requirementsTravel & ReportingConduct official travel as required (estimated up to 2 trips annually)Produce trip reports capturing key observations, findings, and recommendationsRequired QualificationsActive Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred or ability to obtain)Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Healthcare Administration, Military Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)Demonstrated experience in medical logistics, sustainment operations, or military logistics planningKnowledge of Health Services Support (HSS) and MEDLOG operationsFamiliarity with Marine Corps Planning Process (MCPP) and joint logistics doctrineExperience supporting operational planning (OPLANS/CONOPs) and staff coordinationStrong analytical, briefing, and technical writing skillsExperience working in classified and fast-paced operational environmentsPreferred QualificationsPrior experience supporting MARFORPAC, INDOPACOM, or Service Component CommandsKnowledge of Class VIII medical supply chains and sustainment systemsExperience with TEAMS, task tracking systems, or operational dashboardsBackground in military or government medical logistics operationsExperience integrating Allied and Partner force logistics capabilitiesCore CompetenciesStrategic Thinking & Operational AwarenessCross-Functional CoordinationExecutive Communication & BriefingAnalytical Problem SolvingMission Focus & AdaptabilityWork EnvironmentThis role operates in a high-visibility, fast-paced headquarters environment supporting operational and strategic-level initiatives.
