With multiple offices, more than 300 employees, and 7 divisions – Asphalt and Concrete, Waterproofing and Specialty Coatings, Roofing, Snow Removal and Parking Lot Sweeping, Landscaping, and Construction, DCPS provides specialized, integrated service-solutions to commercial property owners and managers.Position SummaryThe Assistant Project Manager – Asphalt and Concrete Projects supports the administrative, scheduling, and logistical success of multiple asphalt and concrete projects. This role serves as a key connection point between pre-construction, field operations, customers, and internal teams to ensure projects are set up accurately, scheduled effectively, and executed efficiently.This position will assist in managing up to 10 active projects at a time, including project scopes such as IR patching, crack seal, seal coat, striping, and concrete. In addition to supporting daily project coordination, this role will own the scheduling component of the business under the supervision of the Operations Manager.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate project documentation, including schedule maps, daily reports, and construction-related project information.Support communication between customers, field personnel, operations, and internal team members to ensure project details are accurate and clearly understood.Administer digital project management tools, including Bluebeam and other in-house software, to maintain accurate and up-to-date construction documents.Assist with setting up and running multiple asphalt and concrete projects from pre-construction through field execution.Update project schedules and communicate scheduling changes to customers, field crews, and internal stakeholders.Identify and help resolve logistical challenges that may impact project timelines, crew readiness, or customer expectations.Maintain a strong sense of urgency across active projects while ensuring details are properly tracked and communicated.Support the Operations Manager with scheduling needs, project coordination, and daily operational priorities.Ensure field teams have the information, documentation, and project details needed to complete work efficiently and accurately.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalent required.Valid driver’s license required.Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines at once.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to problem-solve quickly and communicate effectively with customers, field teams, and internal staff.Willingness to learn new industries, systems, and construction processes.Ability to work independently while taking direction from leadership.Preferred QualificationsTwo or more years of professional experience in the construction industry preferred.Experience with asphalt, concrete, seal coat, striping, or related scopes preferred.Experience using Bluebeam or similar construction/project management software preferred.Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply.Physical RequirementsAbility to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach as needed throughout the workday.Ability to travel between the office, customer sites, and project locations as needed.Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.Ability to work in both office and outdoor environments as needed.Work EnvironmentThis role is based out of Centennial, CO and may require travel between the office, customer locations, and active job sites. Work is generally performed Monday through Friday, though hours may vary depending on project needs, seasonal demands, and operational priorities.
