Associate Veterinarian

Introduction Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their small animal practice providing care for dogs and cats. The hospital is AAHA accredited, demonstrating its commitment to the highest standards of veterinary medicine and patient care. This opportunity is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates looking to work within a collaborative and supportive clinical environment focused on delivering high-quality small animal and urgent care services. Working Hours / Rota The position offers full-time or part-time flexibility. Hospital hours are Monday to Wednesday from 7:30 am to 7:00 pm, Thursday from 7:30 am to 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Friday from 7:30 am to 7:00 pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Role Description and Responsibilities The Associate Veterinarian will examine animals to assess their health, diagnose medical conditions, and develop treatment plans. Responsibilities include providing wellness care, performing diagnostics, conducting surgical and dental procedures, and managing urgent care cases that present during hospital hours. The role also involves advising pet owners on preventative healthcare, maintaining accurate medical records, and collaborating closely with the veterinary and support team to deliver high standards of patient care. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates. Practice Details The hospital is an AAHA accredited full-service small animal practice delivering comprehensive veterinary care within a modern clinical setting. The facility supports advanced veterinary medicine with digital radiography, ultrasound, diagnostic testing, and a full pharmacy. Services offered include wellness exams, pain management, dermatology, heartworm testing, hospice and euthanasia care, boarding, nutrition counseling, microchipping, vaccinations, dental care, surgery, digital imaging, diagnostics, spay and neuter procedures, telemedicine, and urgent care services. The hospital emphasizes preventative medicine while supporting a diverse caseload that includes medical, surgical, and urgent care cases. Team The hospital has 8 DVMs and a great tenured support team, creating a collaborative environment where veterinarians and staff work together to deliver exceptional patient care.
