Title IX Coordinator

OVERVIEW DeSales University, in Center Valley, Pennsylvania, is a Catholic, private, coeducational, four-year liberal arts university. EOE POSITION SUMMARY The Title IX Coordinator works with the AVP for Administration / OCR Compliance Coordinator to ensure effective execution of Title IX compliance. Principal responsbility for communication, training, and compliance per Title IX guidelines and support of overall compliance with the University policy on non-discrimination. This role will work collectively with Deputy Title IX Coordinators in Student Affairs, Athletics, Police and Public Safety and/or Human Resources to ensure compliance University policy and applicable disciplinary code, grievance procedures, confidential resources, etc. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university; Masters in Higher Education or related field preferred Three years professional experience within an academic institution and direct experience with compliance and Title IX matters A demonstrated knowledge of Title IX and related laws, including but not limited to VAWA, Clery Act, and FERPA Certification and/or training from ATIXA (Association of Title IX Administrators), SCI (SUNY Conduct Institute) or similar is a plus Knowledge of risk management and liability issues affecting higher education Confidentiality, Respect for individual dignity, and trauma informed response to reported incidents Strong organizational abilities Comfortable working with students, faculty and staff Sensitive to issues of ethnicity, disability and diversity Dedicated to the mission of small, Catholic, liberal arts institution DeSales University is an EEO employer - M/F/Vets/Disabled
