Industrial Paint Supervisor Responsibilities:Work closely with Production Manager to meet production goalsCoordinate daily activities of various production departments, delegating job responsibilities to appropriate shift personnelInterpret specifications, blueprints and job orders to workersPlan and organize work for assigned workers to meet the scheduleMaintain production workflow between workers and departmentsMonitor all production for quality and make adjustments as necessaryMonitor all the changes in the production schedule and make workflow modifications accordinglyTroubleshoot and solve production problems as they occurMotivate team members to complete assignments in a timely, accurate manner, assuring effective use of all personnelTrain new production employees to bring them up to speed in a timely mannerCheck all production equipment to ensure it is in good working orderWork in a safe manner and promote safety to all employeesEffectively use raw materials to reduce wasteCommunicate with all levels in the organization so all employees are aware of schedules and changes and other information related to the jobs they have been assigned to completeInspect products/equipment for defects/malfunctionsSkills/requirements:3 to 5 years of manufacturing experienceMinimum of 2 years supervisory experienceAbility to work in a fast paced environment in an effective, safe mannerSix Sigma Black Belt certification preferred, but not requiredWelding experience helpful, but not requiredMust be detail orientedStrong problem solving skillsProject management skills a plusMinimum high school diploma or GEDAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manualsAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.Ability to lift 50 lbsAbility to bend, twist, stoop and climb laddersAbility to work 40 to 50 hours per week on 2nd shiftEqual Opportunity Employer/Minorities/Women/Veterans/DisabledGlobal Power Components is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
