Occupational Therapist
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to determine their occupational therapy needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans to help patients improve their ability to perform daily activities
- Provide therapy interventions to improve patients' fine motor skills, coordination, and strength
- Teach patients how to use adaptive equipment and assistive devices to enhance their independence
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and speech therapists, to develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on strategies for managing their conditions and promoting overall well-being
Skills:
- Proficient in medical imaging techniques and interpretation
- Strong patient care and patient service skills
- Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology and documentation practices
- Familiarity with acute care and pediatric occupational therapy practices
- Understanding of occupational health principles and practices
- Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
This position requires a degree in Occupational Therapy and a valid license to practice. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
