Lead Electrical PE

HR Mango is partnering with a well-established engineering firm to hire a Lead Electrical PE for their Sandy, Utah office. This role is ideal for a licensed Professional Engineer who enjoys leading electrical design projects from concept through completion while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.The ideal candidate has a strong background in power systems and electrical design, is experienced with electrical studies and construction documentation, and thrives in a collaborative, project-focused environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead electrical engineering design for commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, and detailed design documentation.Develop electrical plans, specifications, and construction documents.Review and approve electrical design drawings for assigned projects.Perform or oversee electrical system studies using SKM or similar software.Evaluate vendor proposals, equipment submittals, and technical documentation for compliance.Coordinate with mechanical, civil, structural, and architectural teams throughout project execution.Monitor and support subcontracted engineering services to ensure quality and schedule compliance.Assist in developing engineering standards, design guides, specifications, and quality control procedures.Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, industry standards, and client requirements.Support project teams through construction administration and occasional field visits.Travel for temporary project assignments as needed.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.Professional Engineer (PE) license required.5+ years of electrical engineering design experience.Experience designing power distribution, electrical systems, and construction documents.Proficiency with SKM PowerTools or similar electrical analysis software.Experience with AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical preferred.Strong understanding of electrical codes, engineering standards, and industry best practices.Experience reviewing vendor drawings, equipment specifications, and technical submittals.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative engineering environment.
