Dockhand

Job Title: Dockhand Department: Marina Reports To: Marina Manager Summary: The Dockhand is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the marina and assisting marina members. The marina is a service driven business and the customer is the driving force behind every task. Dockhands work to ensure a safe and clean environment throughout the harbor and marina facilities. Duties and Responsibilities: Greet and acknowledge guests Help orient members to the marina, facilities and answer questions related to services, dining, entertainment and travel directions Assist in securing boats to docks, connecting utility services (power/water) and waste pump outs Deliver mail and/or packages to marina members Clean public areas such as restrooms, kitchen, common areas, laundry rooms and picnic areas Replenish supplies Wash windows, door panels and sills Clean bottom and sides of pool, removed leaves and cleans filter system Move and arranges outdoor furniture Perform outdoor clean-up such as pulling weeds, raking leaves, planting, and picking up debris and smoking areas Empty trash cans and transports trash for weekly pickups Assist other departments with moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies Reports disturbances, maintenance repairs or unsafe conditions Perform other duties as assigned
