Platform Engineer

Position: Platform EngineerLocation: Reston, VA (Hybrid) Duration: 12+ Months (Likely to extend)Job Description:We are seeking an experienced Informatica IDMC Cloud Engineer to design, develop, implement, and support cloud-based data integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC), cloud infrastructure automation, AWS services, and scripting/programming. This role requires hands-on experience with production support, cloud platform administration, and data integration development in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, deploy, and support data integration solutions using Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC).Configure, administer, and maintain Informatica cloud environments, including setup and management of Self-Service Workbench.Develop and optimize data pipelines, workflows, and integrations to support business and operational requirements.Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management using Terraform, Ansible, GitLab, and Python.Build and maintain cloud infrastructure components within AWS environments.Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues in a 24x7 support environment.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders.Implement best practices for cloud security, performance optimization, monitoring, and operational excellence.Create technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge-sharing materials.Participate in on-call support rotations and provide timely resolution of critical production incidents.Assist in performance tuning, capacity planning, and system upgrades.Required Qualifications:Strong hands-on experience with Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC).Experience developing, configuring, and administering Informatica cloud environments.Proficiency with Informatica Self-Service Workbench.Strong programming and scripting skills using Python and Unix Shell Scripting.Experience automating cloud infrastructure and operational processes using Terraform, GitLab, Ansible, and/or Python.Strong knowledge of AWS services including: EC2Systems Manager (SSM)CloudFormationCloudWatchLambdaExperience supporting and troubleshooting applications in a production support environment with 24/7 operational requirements.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong organizational, time management, and technical presentation abilities.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Apache Spark, Amazon EMR/Hadoop, and PySpark.Experience working with AWS Glue.Experience creating and managing reusable Terraform modules.Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD best practices.Experience with enterprise-scale cloud data platforms and data integration architectures.Nice-to-Have:Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Developer, etc.)Informatica certificationsExperience working in Agile/Scrum environmentsExposure to enterprise data warehousing and data governance initiativesMindlance is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate in employment on the basis of – Minority/Gender/Disability/Religion/LGBTQI/Age/Veterans.
