Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Caribbean Cuisine Chef to provide high-end culinary services for our celebrity and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients in Los Angeles. This is a temporary position with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent role. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding and passion for Caribbean flavors, with an ability to create exceptional, bespoke menus that impress our distinguished clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and execute custom Caribbean-inspired menus tailored to the specific tastes and dietary preferences of celebrity and UHNW clients.
Prepare and serve meals in private residences, event venues, and at intimate gatherings.
Oversee all aspects of food preparation and presentation, ensuring exceptional quality and taste.
Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and sanitation in the kitchen at all times.
Coordinate with other staff, including kitchen assistants, and manage food inventory.
Provide a personalized culinary experience, including but not limited to tasting menus, themed events, and seasonal specialties.
Work closely with clients to understand their specific requests, dietary restrictions, and preferences.
Regularly update and manage a social media account showcasing your culinary skills, recipes, and behind-the-scenes kitchen experiences.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a chef, specializing in Caribbean cuisine (high-end private chef experience preferred).
Strong culinary background with an extensive knowledge of Caribbean flavors, ingredients, and techniques.
Ability to create sophisticated and innovative menus that appeal to a high-profile clientele.
Strong attention to detail and presentation, ensuring a luxurious dining experience.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
Must be able to start immediately (tomorrow).
A professional, courteous demeanor, with the ability to engage with UHNW clients discreetly and respectfully.
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
A portfolio of culinary work, including menu examples, photos, and references, is required.
Active social media presence showcasing your culinary expertise is required.
Additional Desired Skills:
Experience with event planning and catering for high-profile clients.
Multilingual skills are a plus.
Ability to adapt to unique dietary requirements (e.g., vegan, gluten-free, allergies).
